The residents of Ejigbo never knew that a viable seed will be sown on their soil until Barrister Abdul Hakeem Abdul Lateef thought of making an indelible history in the vicinity. The thought gave birth to Al - Faruq International School on 30th Oct., 1995 exactly three years after the unequalled Nursery and Primary section. Al-Faruq College saw the light of the day on 28th Sept., 1998.
Prior to the establishment of the school, concerned Muslim parents in this area had to travel hundreds of miles to get a standard Islamic school for their beloved children. The school being a Muslim mission school focuses on the academic and spiritual development of our students/pupils. The fear of Allah in all undertakings is our philosophy of life in Al - Faruq Schools. At the beginning, the college shared the same building with the Nursery and Primary section at 13 Ifoshi Road, Iyana Ejigbo, Lagos State. By the grace of Allah, Al - Faruq College moved to her permanent site at 6 Muyili Oshode Street, Off Double Powerline, Ejigbo in September 2003. The permanent site of the primary section is situated along the same street with the secondary site.
Al-hamdu-li-llahi, the schools have been growing from strength to strength. On 8th March, 2007 after series of inspections, all sections of the schools (Pry, J.S.S. and S.S.) were given approval by the Lagos State Government. Early in 2008, the West African Examination Council (WAEC) carried out series of inspections on the school and the approval to conduct Senior Certificate Examination (SSCE) was given.
To be an undisputed and outstanding Islamic School that provides all round education and spiritual services to both indigenous and international students.
To develop minds that will be academically and spiritually sound, highly dynamic and self-reliant.
To produce future leaders that will at any time be vanguard of success and spiritual excellence
